Weddings
Originally, when Mactrax began, our vision was to cater to weddings. Weddings were and still are our specialty. There is so much about weddings that we love. We see so many beautiful weddings and make many friends along the way. During the months of planning before the wedding you really feel like you know the couple. As a result, when their big day arrives it is not uncommon for us to get emotional when their family or friends make beautiful toasts to the couple. Weddings are very detailed oriented and so are we. Weddings allow us to show all of our strengths. Sometimes we DJ the ceremony as well as the reception. We can play the music as the bride marches in and our microphones can be used so the guests can hear the bride and groom say “I do”.
It is really hard for a bride and groom to plan out the entire night. Something always seems to happen to throw off the schedule or cause delays in how we have planned the event. The most common of these delays is dinner. Often, people allow about an hour for dinner. However, most often it runs 2-3 hours because the buffet line is moving really slow. Although not as common, sometimes the caterers run late. We can, at that point, continue playing more dinner music or continue with the reception while your guests eat. The decision is ultimately yours or your wedding coordinator’s. If you should appoint us to make those decisions we have enough experience to do so. If you choose to have 100% control that evening we have no problem fulfilling your wishes.
Throughout the wedding we help out a great deal in making sure the other contractors, such as videographers and photographers at your event are aware of the next upcoming segments. We will also remind you when the toasts are coming up so that your guests will have time to get drinks or that champagne can be poured.
We can use our experience to choose the right songs to play or we can play from a list that you provide us. Couples often leave it up to us but give us a list of songs not to play or songs we must play. Whether we take requests from your guests or not is up to you. Also, if there is music you want to hear and we don’t have it, we will try our very best to get it. We do not have a problem with expanding our music library for you! Especially, if it is for a special dance like the couples dance or father daughter dance.
To enhance this night even more, we can make a photo DVD showing photos of the bride and groom as babies, kids and more current photos of them as a couple. This is really nice to play during dinner or right after. Or if you are just looking for a keepsake, you can give us your weeding photos and we can make a photo DVD for you so that you can remember this night forever. We realize that this day is probably once in a lifetime for you and we will treat it as such. We ask a lot of questions pertaining to your wedding and welcome yours. There is really not a wrong or right way to have your wedding. There is only traditional or non-traditional. We will be happy to help you plan your idea of a perfect wedding, no matter which it is.
